Jets Dismantled, Not Humbled
By Stephen on December 7, 2010
Sometimes at important moments everything comes together… except for the Jets, they come apart. What I witnessed last night was a near perfect game by the Patriots in one of the most important regular season games in the history of the franchise. Is there any question that Brady/Belichick is the best QB/coach combination ever? Is there any doubt that Brady is the league MVP? Does Rex Ryan ever shut up?
No, no, and apparently no. (I’m amazed how Rex Ryan ate enough humble pie to feed a small country but he still wanted more. That man is insatiable!)
Everybody got involved for the Patriots, with Tom Brady throwing TD passes to four different receivers. Law Firm ran right over the highly touted Jets defense until their spirit was broken. Danny Woodhead gashed the Jets and dashed their hopes for a division title. The defense bent but didn’t break, not even a little. McCourty, Spikes, and Sanders intercepted Dirty Sanchez, rendering him utterly ineffective. Tom Brady’s quarterback rating of 148.9 was more than 5 times that of Sanchez. I enjoyed the destruction of the Jets so much I would feel guilty if they didn’t deserve it.
The best part was that we had one of the biggest crowds yet. There were too many to count. Thank you to everybody who came out. We were loud and proud. We represented our Patriots on Tedy Bruschi night admirably.
