Houston Was a Blast!

IMG_0231We met the Houston Patriots fan club down in Houston and had a blast. After a beautiful scenic drive down there, thanks to Doug’s expert driving, we arrived in time to take an educational tour of downtown Houston and have some dinner at Ruby Tequila’s before the party. Great margaritas!

The Wet Spot was already packed with Patriots fans. We met Chris, the organizer of the Houston Patriots fan club, along with many other New England Patriots fans. There were a lot of photo opportunities, and Chad even met up with an old friend from school. Great time!

Tailgating was a blast. We had bacon, eggs, pancakes, and mimosas. Thanks to Nadine for doing the cooking. We threw the ball around, took a lot of pictures with Dirty, and made some new friends in the parking lot.

The game was actually a lot of fun even though the Patriots lost. Reliant stadium is a great venue. Not a bad seat in that place. I don’t quite understand why Belichick kept putting Brady back in there. After that initial fumble, Hoyer looked pretty good. The defense was soft without Wilfork and Warren in there. It was odd watching Faulk, Maroney, Wilfork, and Warren casually walking around in street clothes. The Texans pulled it out. I will say, they played hard, which is to be expected, because their playoff lives were on the line. They did manage to achieve the first winning season in Houston Texans franchise history. Good for them… I guess.
